This is a high-grade Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka, known as "High Grown Tea" because it is produced in the high mountainous regions (southwestern part of the central mountain range, where the westerly winds of January and February blow).
Besides Uva, one of the world's three great teas, other Ceylon teas include Nuwara Eliya and Dimbula. Even the producers themselves say that tea grown higher up in the mountains tastes better.
This year, we have directly imported this tea from Kelani Valley, a prestigious tea plantation in Sri Lanka.
Please take this opportunity to try it!
